Hoppy Easter!! Growing up, both my mother and grandmother were known for setting up the most beautiful table escapes (and still do). As an adult, I myself have started to take on the tradition. Setting a nicely presented table, for me, is one of those simple joys in life. Something that makes every occasion feel homy, cozy and inviting. I would normally love having friends and family over, but naturally I am not able to due to the current situation. Anyway, since I've always simply LOVED everything about Easter, and have got all this free time on my hands, I could not miss the opportunity to put something together and do some Easter baking and decorating, to lift the spirits and take my mind off of everything thats going on right now. So, let's step in, shall we? When looking at the forecast, I could not believe it when I saw that Easter weekend would be sunny and 24 degrees C. With that in mind, I knew I had to step outside and enjoy Spring in all its glory. For Easter and spring, pastels and florals will forever be my first choice! I made this tablecloth using a gorgeous blue rose fabric I found in this incredible fabric shop in Paris called Simrane, back in February, and knew it would be perfect to use for Easter. I thought, since this would already set a colour palette, I paired it with my beloved blue and white china vases, and used my pink pastels dinner set and candles, you know, for the sake of Spring pastels! But wait, something is missing, right? Easter wouldn't be Easter without bunnies and eggs! So my little vintage eggs and grass bunnies from John Lewis added the perfect subtle touch! Now, let's move on to my favourite part, the desserts!!! One of the things I love most about desserts is the flexibility it allows you to customise them to any event or occasion. Something that isn't as easily achievable with savoury foods. With a cake, you can top it with chocolate praline eggs and make a nest out of nuts and chocolate. You could also make sugar cookies shaped like bunnies, baskets and eggs! Click here for the full post of me making these ! Thank you for making it to the end and have a very Happy Easter Everyone!
