"All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt"
I love easy recipes. The kind that I don't need to spend hours in the kitchen for nor bring out my masters chef skills but can still deliver something to impress my guests.
To me, nothing says Valentine's Day more than sophisticated, chocolaty goodness with added liquor sophistication!

Today I am bringing you what I believe is my go-to Valentine's (or Galentines) dessert to really add style and romance to your special day. Plus, its only FIVE ingredients.

Ingredients
  • 150 grams of dark chocolate (I typically use 60-70%)
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 cup of Amaretto
  • 2 cups of heavy cream
  • Cacao nibs to top (This is what I think makes a world of difference and will make your mousse like something out of a five star restaurant! Click here for the ones I use). If you can't find them, add some ripped cream on top with shredded chocolate.
Method
1. Place a mixing bowl and beaters into the freezer for at least 30 minutes. Make sure your heavy cream has been in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours.
2. In a small saucepan, mix your chocolate with 1/2 cup of the heavy cream until its combined. Let chill for about 20 minutes and add the amaretto.
3. Remove bowl and beaters from the freezer, place the remaining of your heavy cream and whip for about 4-5 minutes until thick. Gradually add the chocolate-amaretto mixture. Keep whipping for another 3 minutes.
4. Place your mixture in the fridge for another 30 minutes and serve into martini glasses.
5. Top with cacao nibs and voila!
