Purple has always been my favourite colour; for me, it has always been synonymous with femininity, strength, and grandeur. Aside from this, green has always been my number 1 go-to shade for pairing it with. I knew that I just had to put together an article showcasing some of the many different ways these two magnificent colours can be combined, and here it is!

Purple is a mixture of Red and Blue and, depending on the hue and tone, it can make different impressions. When selected right, purple can give a royal and  exclusive look. Green on the other hand, has a number of different connotations from a representation of  nature, energy and freshness, all the way to money and ambition. When pairing these two, it is important to introduce a number of neutrals, including white, beige and black, into the look in order for it all to not look too overpowering and strong. If you really want to add that upscale look, gold accessories will do the magic.

In the traditional colour wheel, the complement of purple is yellow. In the Munsell system, the hue spacings have been reassessed, adding some much-needed scientific rigor being hue, value, and chroma. One of the results is that the complement of purple is redefined as green-yellow, which I think produces much more pleasing results.
Without further ado, find below some of the combinations I've put together along with the links on where to find each piece!

All of these looks are so beautifully styled! I especially love the green Ted Baker blouse in the last look!
