Ok, we've all heard it. Valentine's Day is not a "real" holiday and there is no need to get all crazy about it. However, after enduring the end of holiday blues of January, why not step into February with a little more cheer by celebrating a day dedicated to love and friendship! Find below a set of daytime outfit ideas to wear on the 14th, to incorporate some Valentine's spirit into your day!

Do check out my Valentine's Day Evening looks to shop if you haven't already!
#1 Fun in town

I love pleated skirts! They always give so much movement and texture to an outfit, but just in the right amount whilst remaining elegant and classic. For this outfit, we'll let this flowy ancle-lenght pink beauty take centre stage and style it with a white turtleneck for a polished finish, along with some red pumps for a pop of colour! This is a simple yet stylish ensemble to wear for a variety of occasions both at day and nighttime! Throw in some pearls and heart shaped sunglasses if you wish to be extra!

#2 - Corporate Call

Hitting the office on Valentine's and wondering what to wear? If you are wanting to bring the spirit of the occasion with you to the workspace, there are plenty of ways of doing so without of course covering yourself with heart shaped prints or make and ode to cupid himself. My first instinct would always be to go with pink and red! duh! The classic Valentine's Day duo! Opt for classic corporate garments such as long sleeve shirts, dressy trousers, vests, coats and jackets. It is winter time after all so take advantage of all those opportunities with layering. When sticking to a colour palette, as we are in this case, I like to play with different shades of the same one to make the look more quaint.

Given that my Kate Spade Red Bow bag is from a few collections ago, it is sadly not available to purchase at the moment. I have however, found a few wonderful alternatives if your looking to add a new, and classic, red bag to your wardrobe.

#3 - Flawless in Florals

Nothing like some dazzling florals to brighten up a gloomy  Winter's day. Especially when it is with this beautiful dress from J Crew! The fact that it is sleeveless makes it work brilliantly with a shirt or sweater underneath, during the colder months, to then wear on its own in spring and summer! A win-win if you ask me! This outfit in particular shifts away from the your typical Valentine's Day pink and red colour pattern, whilst remaining every bit quirky and romantic! Could work for the office, meeting with friends, or some after work cocktails!
